PMO Lead, Finance, Reading, 6 month contract £600-£650 per day though an umbrella

We need a Finance PMO Lead to join our team and to partner with the business to plan, monitor and report on all transformation activity across the Finance function, ensuring that the investment made results in business performance improvements and benefits.

You will work with senior business leaders to help shape and deliver the change required in their operational areas through high quality financial analysis, reporting and business planning, while also helping to create a strong focus on engagement to ensure strong business ownership for the change plan

About the role;

  • Lead the Finance PMO function to provide high quality reporting on the planned portfolio of transformation projects to help senior leaders deliver milestones and benefits;
  • Support the Finance Director to prepare an overall business plan for the next financial year, based on high quality and focused data analysis;
  • Having strong influencing & negotiating skills with strong competency in collaboration & relationship management, specifically with senior stakeholders, to enable delivery of the programme of change
  • Perform financial analyses at the project and operating unit levels: program budget estimates; rate impact analyses; project revenue and fee analyses;
  • Follow project launch stages & facilitate the planning & setup of governance structures, whilst adhering to centralized PMO processes, then manage through to programme completion;
  • Proactively drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function globally;

Skills required

  • At least 10+ years of experience within a PMO or business planning role in a financial and accounting function. This experience can be in some sort of corporate environment, either in consulting or in-house teams.
  • Very experienced with different aspects of PMO - planning, budget, finance, change requests, risk/issues, governance and reporting.
  • Excellent in senior stakeholder management and navigating across big teams/organizations;
  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
