Project Manager - £500 per day, 6 months, Birmingham, hybrid, Transformation Portfolio

We're looking for a driven and adaptable Project Manager to play a key role in delivering high-impact transformation across our organisation. This is an opportunity to shape how we evolve our processes, digital services, operating models, and IT systems, helping deliver real, measurable value for our users and stakeholders.

You'll work at the heart of a complex transformation portfolio, translating strategic ambition into practical delivery plans, navigating ambiguity, and bringing people together to make change happen.

Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring outcomes are aligned to scope, timelines, and measurable benefits
  • Manage risks, budgets, resources, dependencies, and change control across multiple workstreams
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party partners to deliver new or enhanced services
  • Provide clear, consistent updates to stakeholders at all levels
  • Drive continuous improvement through performance tracking and delivery insights

Transformation & Strategy Execution

  • Translate transformation strategy into actionable delivery plans
  • Support the development of the organisation's future-state operating model and programme blueprint
  • Ensure workstreams produce high-quality, evidence-based inputs into programme decisions
  • Operate confidently in evolving environments, using structured problem-solving and scenario planning

Stakeholder & Change Leadership

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, sponsors, and SMEs
  • Influence and align stakeholders across diverse business areas
  • Facilitate decision-making through clear, evidence-based recommendations
  • Lead the preparation of governance materials (e.g. SteerCo, Design Authority)

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven experience delivering projects in large-scale transformation or change environments
  • Strong ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable delivery plans
  • Experience working across complex, multi-workstream programmes
  • Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Technical & Tools

  • Advanced knowledge of project tools (e.g. MS Project, Azure DevOps, SharePoint)
  • Experience delivering across IT, business, data, or cloud environments
  • Exposure to platforms such as Adobe, D365, or cloud migration is a strong advantage
